The Pro Racing Association Pro Modified Eight-Second Club is a performance club that honors the drivers in the PRA Pro Modified class who have run 8.99 seconds or better in the quarter-mile.  To make it into this club they must run the eight-second pass at a PRA event during qualifying or eliminations.  Unlike the ET and MPH records this does not need to be backed up andEric Calabrese (photograph courtesy of Volksarama.com) has no affect on point standings or payouts.  The first member of this club was Eric Calabrese (pictured to the right) who guided his 1957 VW Bug (Red Baron) to a 8.99 second pass on September 5, 2004 at Sacramento Raceway.  Since then he has made numerous eight-second passes and currently holds the PRA Pro Modified ET record of 8.26.  Give Eric a few more years and he may be the first member of the PRA Pro Modified Seven-Second Club?
